Intro.......

This is an intro to a song. Anyone want to play? I have some ideas, but would like some help, and guidance.....It's somewhat industrial rock, and pretty simple.

Hey dude,

Sounds cool so far. A little long but I figure with the drums building properly this will be long enough.

Not sure how I can contribute. I would like to participate tho.

Have Fun.

Bubba, thanks man. I have an idea for a song, but it's pretty basic right now, with the intro building into the main part. Simple grungy rock, with more of an industrial sound. I've been meaning to do this since the last few songs that gbav has posted. Just haven't gotten around to it. As I get more recorded, I'll post, and if you have any ideas, that would be cool...thanks man.

brandrum...real drums...that would be cool.
have some chord progressions in mind, and I know how I'd like the drums to sound, but not being a drummer, mine always turn out sterile. I'll work on it a bit more, and post something, and if it strikes your fancy, see what happens.
Thanks man....

Thanks, all....I will try and get a bit more done with this soon, so you can see what I have in mind, and play along. It's pretty basic right now, and I'd love some help getting it rolling.
Thanks again.

Thanks, guys. I'm trying to get a good rhythm, but keep messing it up....just something slightly different than the intro. My loop I'm using for a click, isn't helping....I need to work on it.

Yeah Dogman, play around with the rhythm all you want, but keep the tone... it's nasty good I can hear some crazy wah wah electric and dangerous pounding drums sounding good later in the song.

Rocks

Cool lick!

Just curious though - is it a mic'd cab? With two mic's?

Still working on my silly setup over here, but if you get something together and need any vocals, I would be happy to participate. Let me know if you need me.

Rock on ~

Thanks, guys...working on the drums right now...they aren't working for me.
Gunnar, it's a single guitar right now...a mixture of my crappy amp mic'd, and a direct from the POD. My amp never has any bottom end, so I am using the POD for the bottom, and the mic for the mid and upper.
Thanks again guys. And Gals.....

Ahhhh, that is what I am hearing then. I thought it was two mics on one cab, but the DI/Mic combo is what I was hearing.

Well, not being a drummer, I spent all day trying to come up with some drums. Here's waht i have for a main rhythm, after the intro. I aslo need to figure out how to transition from the intro to the verse....right now it's just a 4 count on kick. I'd like to build it up differently, but don't know exactly what might sound good. Any ideas?

Intro + Verse

Maybe some fills with toms.

This is sounding pretty cool. I am a RUSH fan, so I want Neil Peart or his imaginary friend Billy The pattern you have is fine but would be a tad much for a whole song, a few fills would make it sound like a real Joe pounding the skins.

BTW, I just installed i-tunes because my geek CD is gonna be on there. How do I get rid of it? I dont want to use it as my default player, I use dbpoweramp. Any ideas??

Yup, you got a nice foundation going on here.
