Hi...
With the recent low cost of the Fostex VR-800, I'm thinking of getting one and interfacing it with my Mackie CR1604 using a Midiman Flying Calf/CO2 for stereo hd recording/ mixdowns. Right now I record to the computer's hard drive. Later on I can add a VC-8 for 8 track recording. Then I would like to bring everything back into the computer, through the Mackie, and mixdown to the VR-800. My questions: Is this possible? Has anyone else tried this and what luck have they had? Also any comments on the VR800 in general would be appreciated. Thanks Will |

I haven't brought the VR800 back into the computer but plan to soon. It should be as easy as using the ADAT..you would want a audio card with ADAT Light pipe.
Over all I'm impressed with the VR800. Everything works as advertised...The menu is a little small at least for my 53 year old eyes. Musically Terry |
