acid pro 4.0 and reason help

hello, im extremely familiar with acid 4.0 and totally lot with reason i just got it for keyboard sampling on a keystation and pretty much as a soundbank for keyboard, i want to use acid 4.0 to record all my stuff, except acid and reason both dont work when they are opened together, i want to record keyboard sounds off of reason onto acid, why wont these work together? and can i record guitar tracks onto reason, is reason like acid pro? or is reason more based for sampling and effects and such and acid more recording...please help
