I Wrote you this song. (mp3 too)

Well thats the name of the song.

My fiance allways complains about me not coming to bed at night. I promissed her i would tonight.. But instead at about 2am I started writing a song for her about not going to sleep at night, and recorded it for her so she could play it in her cd player on her way to work.

Funny thing: THeres a squibble noise at like 55 seconds into the song. It was actually my stomach growling. =]

I wrote you this song
(c) 2006 Josh Noone

well I know that your sleeping tight
Just 6 ft, 1 wall, a teddy bear, and a pillow from me

I hope that it will be allright
when I wake you up as I sneek in to sleep.

I'll sing you this song
I wrote it for you, to say im sorry I've left you alone.
I'll sing you this song,
And I'll hold you for a few Before the morning comes

Well I know it just aint right,
6am you gotta get up and I can just sleep
And I hope it will be just fine,
When you get home to find that your wakeing me.

I'll sing you this song
I wrote it for you, to say im sorry I've Slept too long.
I'll sing you this song,
And I'll hold you for a few Before the morning comes.

Dont tell me your done with me,
Cuz i cant seem to sleep
Dont tell me that your through with me,
Cuz I--

I wrote you this song
I wrote it for you, to say im sorry I've left you alone.
I'll sing you this song,
And I'll hold you for a few Before the morning comes.

I'll sing you this song
I wrote it for you, to say im sorry I've Slept too long.
I'll sing you this song,
And I'll hold you for a few Before the morning comes.

Let me know what you thinks!

Josh =]

This song has "you're gettin' lucky tonight" written between every line.

Seriously, I like it. It sort of reminds me of Jim Croce's "Well I know it's kinda late..." etc. That song did OK for him. Nice tune.

Good song, written for the right reasons (to get you out of trouble for staying up writing songs.)

The guitar kinda reminded me of Jack Johnson

I kind of like the quirky paradox of the song . . . writing a song about not being there, and the reason you are not there is because you're writing a song.

This bit is specially cool:
"well I know that your sleeping tight
Just 6 ft, 1 wall, a teddy bear, and a pillow from me"

But the rest of the lyrics don't excite me all that much.

The strength of that opening couplet motivated me to actually listen to the song, despite my lack of enthusiasm for the remaining words.

I liked the chord structure, the melody and the production qualities, but I could easily imagine this having more punch with words that reflect more the originality of the first two lines.

I agree I like your song as well. reminds me of something john meyer would sing. I really really like your recording voice. I have an ear for talent and i heard it in your voice. I would like to hear some other stuff you have done if possible. Be sure to check out my new chorus i wrote "with out you" and leave some feedback.
