Korg 4-track analogue- Now where?
Hi there,
First post so please be gentle....:-) I have a Korg four-track analogue machine. Very easy, nice sound. I've done an album's worth of material, and was wondering the best way to convert it onto a CD. I have struggled with a Marantz recorder to no avail. Anyone here have a clue into the best and simplest way to get this over? Cheers Si |

The best and simplest machine is an Alesis Masterlink. It's a little pricey though. You might find a cheaper one on the used/ebay market. Can't say enough good things about it.

& use some simple (preferrably free) stereo recording software. You'll need a simple & inexpensive 1/8"-to-RCA stereo Y-cable.
Once the mixdowns are in files on the 'puter, you use cd authoring software to burn cds of the mixes. ![]()

An Alesis Masterlink is overkill for this task. Go with what Dave (ARP) recommends.
