Roland PC70 MKII

Is this a reasonable keyboard for general "getting it to track" MIDI use? Don't need bells and whistles, just the chore to get done.

That will work. Look for something that has a USB interface so you dont have to tie up a midi port

O.k., but why should I make an effort to keep a MIDI port free? I honestly do not know the answer...
