Is there anything better?

Is there anything better than the Edirol VST program that comes with Sonar?
I'm just looking for more instruments that sound a bit more realistic that is either free or that is affordable for us budget musicians?

The site to end all sites for free and lowcost VST and DX plugins is KVR. The search functions can be tricky to use but once you get the hang of it they have EVERYTHING in the plugin world...
