congratulate me
i just removed the inner mesh and the HF disc from my mkl2500
and didn't stab even one single hole in the diaphragm never really had very steady hands...... i think i like it a little better, but i haven't played with it much yet. |

Inner Mic screens removal
Well ive done it although some mics its very hard to do. I own a groove tube MD2 tube mic and thats the first thing i did. It took a bit but this mic is easy to do since the capsule comes free from the main body making the screen easy to get at without risking touching the capsule. Most inner screens offer great protection at the trade off of high end smearing . I love the mic this way much better sounding. Also with Tube mics go out and get a better tube for it most stock ones are chinese or russian brands which are ok but after i put in a mullard 12at7 it sounds much sweeter
