What's good quality to you? Cause if you're looking for pro - that'll be a budget ot 2000+ bucks...the mics in your list are under 200...
If you want good bang-for-buck, there are options, but what's your budget? Jacob

I really believe that dynamic mics are better suited for rap (on a budget, at least). You could get this kind of setup:
![]() That's not to say that it was used on any of the recordings, but it sure looks cool! And the Blue "ball" series is nice for the money anyway, so the looks are really just a bonus. The mic in the picture is the Blue 8 Ball mic (condenser), but the regular Blue Ball (dynamic) along with that shockmount are pretty close to your price range ($99 and $59). Check 'em out! http://www.frontendaudio.com/Blue_Ba...one_p/1603.htm http://www.frontendaudio.com/Blue_Ri...unt_p/7044.htm |

Here's a free compressor plug-in that's very popular:

You could get just about any $50 mic and shouldn't have any trouble matching that quality. . |

grapeboi, go with the V63M or V67G... I have used both for rap, and both have been great for me... The V63M had more body to me, was more in-your-face, but was a bit bright sometimes, almost brittle... The V67G was less bright and more smooth sounding, but had less body and wasnt as in-your-face as the V63M... Ask Change_of_POETS in the Rap forum, he has used both and also loves them... Also, check out musiciansfriend.com and read the reviews on the V63M... most of the reviews came from rappers... Im selling my V63M for $65 shipped if you are interested... Perfect condition, original box and manual, immaculate...

Just get a dynamic (SM58 or sm57 or Audix 5) for rap.
You can use it on stage too....with out feedback; and recording will be easyer ...You won't have to worry about background noise. |

Go with the V67G dude. I have one and I think it's a nice warm mic
now tell me you do have a mixer/preamp multitrack right? Becuase if you are just expecting to plug that into the back of your "stock" computer soundcard it aint guna work. you need xlr. I know this sounds stupid but some people ignore these things.

You're going to need phantom power for that mic...not so sure you're going to wanna run that up a TRS 1/4" connector. I mean...I suppose you can it just seems like a bad idea.
