Setting Up MPD16 for FL studio

I got the MPD to play sounds in FL studio, but every pad on the MPD is the same sound.

I was trying to program each sound to one pad.

Is there any way of doing that?

Look in your manual for the MPD about MIDI channels. You want to send info on separate channels possibly.

Reading manuals won't hurt either way.

uh, no. Its just like a keyboard with just 16 keys assignable via the app that it comes with. It wont send on different midi channels. you need to have each sound triggered by a different note

Brilliant advice

There is a preset specifically for the MPD16.

It uses a method of assignment that the FL manual refers to as 'child samples'.

You'll have to read the documentation for any further info.
