Why would my delta 1010LT manual tell me to hook up my mixer main outs to analog outs of my delta? doesn't make sense....

Because M-Audios manuals are very poorly written.

Another thing that I have noticed is that the 2 operating levels that the cards run are labled 'consumer' and '-10' That impies that +4 is consumer when we all know that consumer gear is -10.

What it really means is that the card runs at -10 and you have an option of turning on a 10db pad.

Yes, no matter what anyone tells you, the outputs of one thing always go to the inputs of another.

What they may be reffering to is putting the analouge outs of the delta into the "Main Return" of your mixer, which go directly into the main mix bus...
Considering that not many low-end mixers have such a function, I kinda doubt that assessment tho...

yeah, M-audio has shit manuals.
