mixer to card to software!? AHH!

I'm really about to jump... I just can't get any audio to come through my software on my computer... the mixer is up and running (yay) and sending signals and such.... I'm using my direct outs for each channel to take up the inputs of my delta 1010Lt... i just can't get any software to pick up on it... according to the delta built in mixer... it shows that I have the cables hooked up to the card correctly and it picks up the signal... I've tried it with adobe audition and kristal! someone help! Please?

I'm not familliar with your software, but in most any recording software you need to assign an input to each track, and there you can select the various inputs of your soundcard.
