Anyone with a Gateway Pentium II/soundblaster chipset computer may experience a serious lockout if the Layla card and software are installed. Anyone interested in the Layla, Darla, Gina systems should not be using a Gateway computer.

GATEWAY AND LAYLA

Hello Sterling30,
I am particularly concerned about computers with the 1371 chipset. After installing the Layla software, once the computer is shut off, the user cannot access windows when the computer is turned back on ("access denied"). It works every time. I am no longer using a computer in my studio to mix....I will mix analog to my my Mackie 24/96 and not have to screw with incompatibilities, crashes, glitches, obscure manuals written in "japese", poor or non-existent tech support, latency, convoluted programming, etc.
