Monitoring
Howdy, I've been using Cubase 5.1 for a long time, with a normal soundcard and then an Inca 88, and I've never been able to get the whole monitoring thing to work. I've always had to disable it. For those who have, what does it do? What does the direct monitorning vs. tape type vs. record enable type do? Am I missing out on anything?

One of em` I think its the direct monitoring, gives you the opertunity to add effects\vsts while tracking, and is monitored through Cubase.
The other one is monitored straigth through the sound interface, and cannot have added vst`s. This is just my humble understanding of this matter, and thats the way I use it. ![]()
