Main Buss Plug-ins?

Hey,

I'm mixing in the box w/Sonar 4 Studio. How common is it to put an EQ on the main buss? What else is typical to put on a main buss? Right now the only thing I have is Sony WaveHammer for limiting.

Thanks,

Donny

I dont think eq is all that common, maybe a high pass filter.

Compression is definitely more common on the 2 buss.

I would be very careful with limiting on the master fader, or anything for that matter as every mixing decision made will be somewhat dictated by the plug.

Whats more is if you do mix through a plug and bypass it half way through a mix you will find that the mix falls apart.
I dont know weather that's worth committing to.

I find analog flux tape buss is good on the 2 buss.
