Aiight the new reekbrock 7 sounds way too loopy. The synth that you have in there sounds like it's throwing the track off a little bit. I can also tell you're using the same drumkit in all of your tracks. What are you using for your setup man?

reekbrock 6 sounds like a nice video game background (like when your character is sneaking up on enemies from the shadows like Splinter Cell or something) and you have to concentrate in order to kill them and not mess up. And that's not a bad thing really.

But all in all you gotta learn to change up your beats to throw people off and get them into it more at least with the intro and first verse and then slam a hook on 'em. The more you can get folks into the beat the easier it is to rap over it

How long have you been making beats homie?

Fie.

7 didnt have the synth at first.I thought that maybe it needed something more.I liked it without it personally.6 is really just a loop.I wanted to know if the elements in the beat were ok.I'm going to change it up and add an intro soon. I do use the same drum kit at times I need more drums.Do they sound bad or something?

Hey reek, i gotta be honest with you man. You gotta work on getting the melodies to compliment each other. Sometimes, it sounds like your just hitting random notes. Hitting random notes might work for a scary beat or somethin, but for the beats you are trying to accomplish, you gotta make the melodies flow together. Just keep practicin your craft and learning all that you can learn. One idea that will help is to get some piano lessons. It will teach you about the different scales and help you to understand the concept behind music. Once you play the piano, you have the potential to play anything! Listen to all kinds of music and listen for how they arrange the notes. What i used to do is try to remake stuff that i heard. I started that at 3 with a toy keyboard that played stuff like "mary had a little lamb." Whatever you do, don't think that i'm tryin to clown you or nothing. I'm just tryin to help you a little. These days, alot of beats that are comin out are not really that musical. Just a bangin drum beat and a few notes here and there. Simplicity is selling like crazy now. If you wanna hear musical compositions, listen to some old school. You'll learn alot about composing songs. Keep doin what you doin and don't ever ever stop. Try and try again until you succeed pimpin. I wanna hear more!

Thanks that's exactly what I needed man.I really want to learn to play the piano.I listen to all kinds of music but I really like fusion jazz from the mid 70's.When I get some more money I'm going to get some better sounds.I do alot of sampling but i don't post them.Everything posted has been original.I think I add too much but at times it feels like somethings missing. That's why I started that post "for rapping or listening".I've had people rhyme over my stuff and to me and other people it sounds good without a lot of stuff in the beat.I think I'm going to go in that direction cus 7 was just fine til I started thinking somebody was gonna say it needed something.

I post a sample....usually not enough to jack a full beat but if someone is going to spend the time to take yours and loop it usually nada you can do. Keep grinding.
