My first beat battle....
Here's the short version...
Found out about this a couple days ago....  Didn't even notice that it said beat battle til I'm driving to the thing.. ugh! Luckily had some tracks with me... I figured that it would be smart to watch this time around, to get the feel for it.... Basically what happened is that I filled a spot in the roster, cause they needed an extra person... 2 rounds, 2 tracks a round.... and........ Played the first track fine... but DAYUM!!!! Second track wouldn't play!!!! Get this... I had CD-RWs... NEVER TAKE CD-RWs to a battle!!!!! I had to forfeit half way through the first round cause my track wouldn't play.... Now that's a bitch! Either way though... It was hella tight and I made LOTS of contacts... Holy shit.. I wish I would have known about this sooner! I had a badass night, in spite of my difficulty.... Next month.. It's on!

Hell most folks in Smoklahoma can't make decent beats that stand out from thwe next person's.
Luckily I'm from Texas so I was brought up in that competitve nature.

Sounds like fun man. I've never been in a big beat battle before. I've had a couple of battles with my cousin but thats about it. Seems like it would be fun to compete with a bunch of different people. Wish i lived in the ATL sometimes. I still love south carolina though!
