whole new realm of guitar...need suggestions

i've recently started playing "indie rock" type guitar stuff, as opposed to my normal metal riffs.

i'd like to buy a new amp, but i don't know what's good. i've been looking at fender twin reverb reissues, and they seem awesome. do you guys have any recommendations for amps like that? basically i'm going for a tone similar to Minus The Bear, who just happens to use the twin verb, but i'd still like any other recommendations.

thanks!

Fender, Vox, Traynor, whatever sounds good. I use a Fender Champ with a Rat in front of it for practice. If I ever gather a band together, I want to get a tube Traynor, the YCV40, and then a cab.

For indie stuff, i LOVEEEE the old Dean Markley combo amps if you can find any. I used to have two, but one, I went to get fixed (it had a minor hum) and they fucked it up so it refused to play after that, but of course it wasn't the fucking places fault, they didn't do anything wrong. Ehhh I'm not oging to start going off on how I hate that they ruined that amp.. But yes, if you have a chance at one of those, go for it! The tone is incredible! I used to play a Tele through it and it had that perfect indie thin but heavy sound. You won't be disappointed.

I had a 60w Dean Markley tube head for a while back in the 80's. That was a nice sounding amp. Probably an ebay item?

Ebay, pawn shops, and flea markets. I paid a total of $130 for both amps. So ya, they're worth it.

Indie music?

well one hint is to neer admit to using a POD!

twin amps are great for this sort of thing, reverb is a must!

dare i say something of VOX?

myself i think that a Pathfinder rocks really hard!

kind of small though....
