what is the midi output for on my fostex mr8HD? will it alow me to record through there to the comp? or is it for file transfer?

MIDI output would be for triggering MIDI events in another MIDI device...will not transfer to your computer or let you record to your computer.

Midi out DIN 5 pin connector

Its the 2 circles thats in the back of the unit.They are allways black.
