Other voice pitch modulators?

Is there any other voice pitch changers than the one that sonar offers? I'm wanting to get another one or one that is a bit better to add another vocal for backup. As for the person that recorded his voice lives in another town, I want to use his recorded voice as a 2nd backup vocal. So that's why I'm wondering if there's another vocal pitch modulator/changer?

If I understand correctly, I don't think you are going to have much success in trying to adjust pitch by that much.

Most pitch correction software is good for changing voice pitch by a few cents. In other words, if the note is slightly flat or sharp, they do a good job of correcting it.

Sometimes they will work OK by as much as a full note (E to F, or C to C#). But trying to create a harmony part - moving pitch by a third of an octave or so - you are just not going to get realistic sounding results.

Some people, however, swear by Melodyne. I haven't used it, so I can't really comment. It is expensive, but if you want to check it out, they do have a demo version available.

There are several people on the Sonar forum who use it. However, I don't think it interfaces as easily as V-Vocal. I think you have to export the part to Melodyne and re-import it after it's been worked. But I am far from the expert here. Try the demo.
