sonar pacing

im having problems pacing things in sonar 3. I'm not able to just move it over a fraction of a second, or even a second, everytime I move a file, its like in a set position on the guidelines at the top of the file. like 1'''2'''3'''4'''5'''6 etc. it only moves by the line which I think has to do with a tempo. How do I bypass this and say move choruses over and pace them to be in the same area? Am I just missing a setting?

hey i had this problem until I realised its because it locks to beats or measures just click the little grid icon to turn it off and you can also change it to work in 8th 16ths etc good for composing drum tracks from samples.

hope this helps.

...or press "N" to manually toggle the same 'Snap To Grid' icon.

Ciao,
