I can't hear anything w/cubase

All I can hear is a annoying sound of a key banging whenever i click record..or play..

but nothing records..or plays..can someone help me out with this? i didnt buy it..i downloaded it from limewire...someone i asked said maybe the drivers werren't installed...but idk...is there any software..hardware required in order to hear things w/cubase? this same problem goes with cakewalk..but i can hear stuff with Cool Edit

You could always try buying the software. That way if it doesn't work, you can complain to someone who gives a fuck.

Why don't you call the support phone number, 714-522-9011, and explain to them that you illegally downloaded their software. Then ask them if they will help you get it going.

Gotta tell ya Limmerik, Pirating the program and coming on this board is not the wisest thing you'll ever do. You're not going to get any help here. But, here's some good advice. Go out and purchase the program; its really good stuff. Then read the manual and it will get you up and going. You'll be glad you did. When you've done that, then you earn the right to post your problems on this forum. But right now, you're insulting everyone on this board who laid down big dollars to get the software legally. Good luck.

p.s. I got my Cubase VST5 program from a music store. The program was a little dated so they marked it down to $298. Heck of a deal for me. Maybe you can find a deal like that too if you look hard enough.
