Ram Beatz Update (the Artist Formerly Known As 20/20)

Yo kicked out two beats 47 and 48. The mix is not tight because that is what i am working on improving these days. so if you leave mix comment If you could could site examples and corrections that would be good. If not its still all good http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...?bandID=508528

Some of those cymbals are just uncalled for in my opinion. Also, if someone is going to rap over these, you need to have more breakdowns and have more stuff drop in for the hook instead of there constantly being so much going on.

I didn't really care for the drum sounds on the 2nd track, but I kinda like the sounds on the 1st and 3rd.

I was feeling 47. I like the dynamics in it. You had some nice layering of music too. 48 didn't really move me. I was't feeling the drums, prolly cuz they're Triton drums, and I've been working with those for years myself, so disregard that cuz that's my personal bias. The flute felt too soft against the hard drums too.

the drums in 48 is too much. i like 47. i'm pretty sure u need to still mix too. other than that i'm felling 47, and i'd have to pass on 48. keep up the work homie.

beat 46 - the cybals were a bit too much for me, but i liked the melody and the drum programming itself.

beat 47 - sounds hot yo, very nice dirty south style kind of track, i could even see someone like ludacris rappin over this. this track reminds me a lot of "Real Big" by Manny Fresh, makes me feel like im playing midnight club 3: dub edition. Very cool.

beat 48 - I like the approach. It seemed you wanted to test the waters with this one. I dont really see this a a track that someone would rap over. Its more of a mood setter. It would be at home in a show like "the Boondocks" on [adult swim]. Its like a theme song almost.

I think that CBK is right. You need to focus on a track that has the breaks and "breakdowns" in it so someone can flow over it. I do think some of your tracks are quite good. They are powerful and have plenty of kick to em. You volume is decent too.

My take on em..

46 - I'm feelin' like Ma$e would kill this one. Love the keys in there. And the panning during the short breakdowns... Maybe give it a real silent part or just get a section in there that contrasts that snare pattern more... Then go back 'n forth to make their head spin more..

47 - Something is holding those main stabs back in the mix... Those crashes could be replaced with some other crash (more dirty/effective) to give it more edge. I like this one a lot.. I agree with the person who, I think, said Luda for this one. Stabs are really cool, just need to hit harder. Maybe layer something else in the upper low to mid range to give it punch...

48 - This one is cool too.. Get some switchups in there.. That snare sound is cool.. but it gets harsh quick...

Good work homie.. Sound quality is tight
