cubase wont show all inputs from firebox

Hey ALL,

I have Cubase LE and Presonus Firebox. But, when I do an audio track the only input options are IN 1 and IN 2 (the mic/instrument) inputs. But, Firebox also has Line IN 3 and Line In 4 in the back of the unit. Why dont LIne In 3 and 4 show up as an input option?

I'm pretty new to this stuff!!! But, Im excited to learn.

here's some stuff to check

First ensure that your Firebox drivers are installed.

Next....in Cubase got to:

Devices>Device Setup>VST Multitrack

Slect The Presonus ASIO driver as the ASIO driver.

Make sure all of that is done and let me know if that fixes you problem.

I have a FirePod and have had no problems with this...other problems.....yeah but nothing major.

Go to: Devices >VST Connections (or simply press F4)

At top of the VST Connections window are tabs for Input and Output, and all Ins and Outs that are currently active are listed in the Fields below. By default Cubase only creates the first 2.

Click the "Add Bus" Button at the top of the window, and select a configuration from the resulting pop-up window (Alternatively "right click" in the "Bus Name" column and add one from the resulting list).

Now double click the hardware in the "ASIO Device Port" column, and change it to match the hardware inputs you want for that buss.

Now these new inputs are available in Cubase, and show up in the mixer and so forth.

Note: You can change the name of the busses in the "Bus Name" column, when creating them, or do it later on the Mixer Channel. I find it useful to name your busses to match your external gear most of the time (I.e. Mixer Mains, Mixer Subs, To-Lexicon, From-Lexicon, etc. etc.).

I have LE and i've never seen "VST connections" as an option.

Just go to Devices>VST Inputs and click the little button next "Line ins 3 and 4"
