rewire problems in Sonar 5
Hey gang,
I have been having a bit of problems with Reason since I upgraded to Sonar 5. It always worked perfectly before. Basically when I open a project in Sonar that has Reason Rewired in, Reason tries to open but then freezes up. (Sometimes it does open, but incredibly slowly). I have tried forcing it to close, then just working on the Sonar project, but then the audio engine will not play the audio clips within Sonar. Somehow the Rewire is screwing up the audio engine. I basically solved this problem by copying all the clips over to a new project and re-inserting Reason as a ReWire device. Then it seems to work. It's laborious, however. Has anyone had this problem, or have any idea what could be going on? |

What version of Reason? v2.5 is working for me ok.
Have you tried running Reason standalone running the configuration and setting the sound and midi inputs to none? Do that and then see if you can slave it into Sonar properly. If that works then see if the "Share drivers with other proggies" option in OPTIONS-AUDIO makes any difference when Reason is set up with its normal configuration. Ciao, Q. Ciao, Q.
