Is there a need to have an agent?
Do I need to have an agent to get my music reviewed by the major labels? Is there value in having an agent to further promote my music?
Thanks |

In my opinion, only after you've done all you can promoting yourself and got a decent following. Im sure others will disagree though.

You need somekind of recognized representation to get your music heard by major labels. Or you can bust your ass, get signed to an indie label, tour around the world, and make fans who will support you....sell a few thousand cds...and then the record companies will come to you

You basically have to make them come to you.
