Digital recorders

I have been using a Fostex X77 for a couple of years and am ready to move to digital. I'm interested in the Fostex VF 08 8 track, the little brother to the VF 16. According to Musicians Friend, this unit will not be available until Dec. 12. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two, other than more tracks?

Uh, that link is for the VM08 not the VF08. I too am wanting to compare the VF16 and VF08
