ASR 10 & DR 5 midi hook up

What's going on? I was trying to midi up my DR 5 & ASR 10 together while the DR5 is the master. Do any one know how to midi both of the two up?

What exactly are you trying to do? What is a DR 5?

The Dr 5 is a drum machine that is made by Boss/Roland. I was trying to midi both of them up and let the DR 5 be the master. Do you have any advice?

Well i would slave the drum machine to the ASR or just trigger the notes via the ASR since the ASR has a 16 track sequencer where the boss has 4.

Anyway, One has to be set to slave mode and the masters midi out has to be connected to the midi in of the other device. Look in your manuals and find out how each behaves as a slave since there are probably some limitations like only playing in song mode when slaved.

When set up right, hitting start on one will start the other
