i bought these a little while ago on a wim for $100 canadian... havent had a chance to use em... are they any good? i plan to use them when i open my studio in the summer. i know there not going to be great... but i figure they'll do the job...

if anyone has used em or heard them being used... let me know if they totally suck...

i am not planning on using their snare mic.. im gonna get a 57 for that.. jyst looking to use the kit for toms and bass drum

Not to sound like an ass, but why don't you try them and tell us? You've already got them.

meh

I've got those except my kick might be a slightly different model. They're okay, I would probably suggest them for live sound. The kick drum mic sounds kinda farty and undefined. I just picked up an ATM 25 and the difference is definitely noticeable. The CAD's are dirt cheap though and if it's not something prominent in the mix they'll totally work.

Oh, and he might not have tested them because he might not have a drumset.

cheers,
scott
