Recommendation on speakers?

As some of you may know, I'm buying a Yamaha S90 in the next day or two. So in forethought, I need to be sure I get all the "stuff" with it that I will need. Such as midi/usb cable, audio cable, pedals, whatever.

But my question is about speakers. Here's the deal. If I get it as-is, I will have to listen to it through dippy little 2.1 pc speakers, or else headphones. My headphones are decent, with 1/4" jack. But I'd much rather have room filling sound on it.

Now then, the question is, should I buy just a crakin 2.1 PC speaker system? Thus being able to get WAY more watts then a cheap monitor. Or should I get a cheap monitor, which of course doesn't give me stereo that I may need. I can't afford dual monitors. And I don't have a proper setup for a good 4.1 or 5.1 pc setup.

But anyhow, say I had $150, would it be better to get a cheap single monitor, or a better but used something off ebay? Or should I spend that same amount and get 10 times the watts in a pc speaker setup? Or maybe should I just get a PA, like a speaker with it's own amp?

What do you think?

Again, I only have basic speakers and headphones right now. I'm not looking for studio quality in the least, I just want something that sounds cool when playing, and when playing BACK my creations, thus in stereo and so forth.

What would you get?

(P.S., I actually have a good pair of tower floor speakers, but no amp to drive them. They connect with regular 2-wire speaker cable. But I have not been able to find a good amp to drive them. Could I get an amp for this price that you know of? They are 3 speakers per tower. A big 15", 8", and 4" in each tower, I don't know how many watts of an amp I'd need for that, or how many amps/watts they can handle.)

Thanks

If you are on a low budget check out da M-Audio Dx4's they sale fo $149.99 but u can get them brand new on ebay for a lil cheaper. But highly recommend you buy new monitors but if u have to get them used make sure u can check them out and test them. But check ebay and u should be able to find them.
