First things first. Go to digi's website and check the compatability of your pc. If you're pc isn't compatable there is a very good chance pro tools won't work. However if it is compatable you can get one of those pci cards that have firewire inputs on them.

what processor speed is your computer? The main problem I see with that setup is that it doesn't look like it has much room to grow. 512mb max on your ram might become limiting. What type of recording are you going to do? Do you use midi? Are you just recording band practice, putting togather a demo? More info along that would be useful.

The first question I'd ask is htis: why Pro Tools? If you don't have a really good answer for that, save your money, buy a cheaper audio interface and a better audio program. (The 002R comes with Pro Tools LE, which is pretty limited, IMHO, and I don't think there's an upgrade path except to buy software from someone else.)

In all fairness pro tools le is catching up. With the project pack or whatever its called you get 48 tracks and more plugs. Not to mention pro tools 7 is a bit more processor friendly. But yeah there isn't an upgrade path like with cubase and others.
