which piece should I get?

I've been tossing around these two options in my head for the past few days, any comments would be appreciated.

If you're really serious...

There are a bunch of options you can choose. It all depends how much you want to spend. But... remember this: go for a quality digital converter! The reason digital sounds digital is because of cheap converters. You don't need to go record 192kHz to get good sound. You can get a great analog sound and great frequency response if you get quality converters. On my budget I went middle of the road with a Steinberg 8IO (RME actually makes the unit). If you can swing the bling then I believe the Apogee units are the way to go.

I would definately go with the MOTU if it came in pink but it doesn't so I'm for option 2
