Another vote for sweetwater. Not always the lowest prices and sometimes doesn't have what I want but the customer service is truly superb.

One word of warning about Musician's Friend. I stopped buying from them when I realized they were jerking me around. Sometimes, they put things on their site at really deep discounts, e.g. mic cables. I guess they're loss leaders with the intent to get you to buy other stuff. Anyway, I tried to order a bunch of them, and lo and behold, they were out of stock.

The backorder kept getting longer and longer, and after a month, I cancelled. Oh, they didn't bother to tell me that it was going to be over a month and offer me the opportunity to cancel (like they're required to by law). No, I had to contact them. And they were expecting them in two or three weeks. Yeah. Six weeks for a handful of mic cables. Uh... no.

I haven't ordered from them since. That would be the better part of a year ago. I figure I've spent a hundred bucks more or thereabouts because of the lack of their ASCAP discounts, but in my mind, it's worth it to know that I'll get things in days instead of months....
