12' Adat Toslink's for $5 and under?
Hi, I'm looking to get 6 adat cables and found these at monoprice.com.
http://www.monoprice.com/products/su...d=10229&style= Has anyone used these or can comment on the quality? Also can someone explain the difference between the Mini connectors vs. the standard size? Which size connector is used on most audio gear? Thanks, Mongoo |

Get the standard size. The only place I have seen those mini ones is for stuff with Minidiscs, because they have a digital input, but it is on a small jack.

Okay
Thanks tourettes,
All the adat cables I've seen on site's like Musicians freind and sam ash have all been $25 a piece or more. Do you think there is something sketch about these since they're $5 or less? Thanks again Mongoo |

Just an opinion, but I could see all that extra crap stuck on to the fitting (is that what makes it premium?
) being a detriment to the longevity to small plastic connections like these. Maybe the 'extra features' turned out to be a bust, thus the low price?Wayne |

there will always be cheap cables and there will always be horrendously overpriced cables. cheaper toslink cables might not have the tightest connection therefore you might lose some of the data, then again i'm not so sure a gas injected titanium laser edged monster cable that costs $200 will really make a shocking difference.
