variax 300

im thinking of getting a variax 300. just for getting ideas out more than recording top notch tracks. any thoughts?

I think they are pretty cool especially if you use them with Workbench.

I'm not sure the 300 can work with workbench software, and that it doesn't have the interface in order to keep the price point down.

Variax 300 works pefectly well with Workbench. In my opinion (and I've been playing for 25 years or so) the 300 is an amazing bargain. And if you discipline yourself to explore with Workbench, all the moreso..... AND if you have POD XT Live, as I do, it's simply the most versatile combo for the money available, IMHO.
