What I like about this forum...

I didn't really know where to post this, so I decided to post it here.

What I like about this forum is that everyone has a good demeanor, and there isn't really any "I'm not telling you any of my secrets" stuff. People assist each other, they keep the competition off the boards. They give each other advice, regardless of genre (or sub-genre) of music.

That's what I think is so great about indie musicians, especially on this forum. It is also like we watch each other's backs, in a way. Things such as "I got this email from so-and-so, and it looks like a scam, so if you get it, beware!".

For some of the guys here the recording thing is a business, for others it's a hobby and like any hobby (by hobby I mean some of us do it more for fun or as a learning experience) we like to get together with others and share (sometimes brag) our discoveries and new toys. Most of us don't consider ourselves to be in competition with the others so we don't mind shareing our "secrets" and most of us are really happy when someone can come on and share a success story. Like you I discovered this spirit of helpfullness a long time ago, that's what keeps me comming back.

I second that. Every question I've asked so far has yielded lots of helpful answers.

Was Lurking here for a while before i joined

It Is a great place to get idea and toss in a few of your own.

It also has things in groups Like Rack/ Guitars ect. Which is nice to help you find the right place to ask or put input to the relative equipment ect

The strangeist place on the board is were the Cave Dwellers Are
but anything there goes there.

Would be nice to have a Tracktion forum
