Question Midi Problem

I am new to midi, so forgive me if this sounds stupid. I am getting a delay during playback on my midi tracks of about half a beat. When I am recording, it sounds fine. It happens with both my VSTi's (BFD) and my keyboard (Alesis QS 6.2).

I do not remember this happening before during my limit experience with midi. Is there something basic I am not doing right? Any help would be appreciated

It sounds like common latency to be honest, however, if its really noticeable maybe theres something not set right. How are you connected up to your computer?

I am connected through a Presonus Firepod. I set the latency on the interface between 4 - 10 ms depending on what I am doing.

Hmm, i have the Presonus Firebox and when i use the midi through that it seems to work fine, and get very little latency.

4-10ms sounds fine, so i dont understand why your getting such a big delay on it.. I'll have a think and post again later.

Sorry i cant be of more help,
