My song has the same name as another existing song...
I just wrote a song that I titled "Dying Days". Upon some googling, i noticed that this was the name of a song by the band Pavement. The lyrics aren't very similar other than that they both have the phrase "dying days".
Is it ok to have the same song name, like legally/copyright wise or whatever? |

And you can't possibly title yours differently?

Rest easy. You can't copyright "titles". Name the song whatever you want to.

Song titles and short phrases are not copyrightable. You are good to go, at least in the U.S.-Richie
