Sadly, it sprung a leak. So we had to put her down. BUT, we did get a lava lamp to replace her, so all is well with the novelty lighting department here.

Some older studio pics. This is from the first incarnation of my studio which was all crammed into an 8x10 bedroom. I've moved up to a 14x12 bedroom for the drums and a 12x10 control room


I used to put plastic bags over my mics to keep the smoke out. The bagged victim in the picture was my first condenser mic, a Marshall MXL-2001 that made its Chinese-capsule-sounding-self onto eBay. I wish I MOD now what I didn't MOD then No smoking anymore... The resolution is too low to see that the shockmount was made out of a PVC pipe and some elastic hair ties. I was traded this drumset for a recording session. I never could get the 'boing' out of that low tom, check out the duct tape!!!!


A rummage sale find. Those little Hohner Pocket Pal harmonicas rock, as I blew the Chromatica a few days after I got it and that Hohner took more abuse than Dick Cheney's hunting partner and still plays to this day. The toy piano seems to make it on to more than a few tracks...

This is my Hun/Viking looking hide at the computer a couple of years ago. Yes, I'm a cross between Thor, Attila the Hun, Rasputin, and Biff Henderson. Everyone says I look like I belong in the 1920s. All of the equipment was kinda piled up without racks. Don't you love the dull gray appeal of a Behringer mixer? You can barely see the tiny BOSE satellite speaker next to the monitor. I've gotten so used to them I don't think I'll be able to part with them...

I like TEXROADKILL's studio. I want to go there.

Most of these are old. The organ has since moved rooms, the close up shot of the board was in an old spot. The wide shot is where it sits now (need to build a desk still!)
