glensidebaby is on a distinguished road
using acid pro with tascam 788

I have the Tascam 788 and also have a powered mackie 808s. I also have Sonic Foundry Acid 4.0, Sony Sound Forge 7.0 and Vegas Video 5.0...I was wondering how I should go about recording maybe mixing them. Do I need to hook midi in and out to the tascam to be able to use my acid? I want to be able to record drums with it. My other problem is they are 1/4" inputs and I'm not sure how to hook my XLR cables from the drums up to it, unless I go from my mackie mixer somehow. So please let me know what I should do. Thank you!
