Help. My tascam 2488 stops playback sound suddenly and for no apparent reason. The led is showing that the playback is still going but the sound cuts out. If I switch off and straight back on everything is fine again, but then it wil suddenly stop ?. Can anyone advise ?.

Sorry, I haven't had that experience with my 2488 so I'm not sure how to advise you.

Do all the monitor outputs go dead? In other words, does the headphone output stop as well as the monitor outs?

...and does it stop at the same spot in just one recording?
...does it stop during any song you've recorded?

Just trying to think of some way to troubleshoot the problem.

Thanks guys. I havnt listened to the monitor output, and it doesnt stop in any one particular place ?. I have spoken to tascam today and they say it must be a fault on the board. Im afraid it will have to go back.
