V-Drums and BR studios
Anyone that has any experience using TD-3's or any v-drums with their BR studios would be great...Right now I"m using mic patch because the brain has no juice...I would like input from anyone...thanks!

K, I"m plugging my TD-3 V-Drums out of the left mono output, directly into my BR1180...I have to use one of the mic patches because they are way too quiet if I record them dry...That's where I'm sitting now, I need to know if anybody has other ideas on settings to get around the quietness...I"m going to look at amps today anyways to put in between.
P.S. Wishing a tight rope...very nice |

I'm not that familiar with your drum module...but a couple of things...can you adjust the output level on the drum module? Make sure that is turned up...then...why are you going mono instead of stereo? If you need to go mono due to lack of inputs into the BR...make sure you have all the drums panned to the side going to the BR...unless the mono is already L/R summed...
Other than that, you'll probably need an amp or preamp to boost the signal. Good luck! |

I've already cranked the level on the module...I'm going to have to get an amp I'm pretty sure of it now...I think the best thing to do will be to rent some if I can not to buy the wrong one...Thanks for your help!
