Sony high bias type II
hey there everyone...a few months ago i bought a beautiful 488 mkII that i love. i have been using maxell type II tapes---90 and 60 minutes. i prefer the 60's but they are more difficult to find.
anyways, i was at wal-mart the other day and saw that they have a ton of Sony CD-IT high bias type II tapes for a good price, and they are 60 minutes. has anyone used these at all? are they a waste of money? i tried some radio shack high bias type II's and they were horrible and i don't want to run junk tapes through my 488 again. any advice would be greatly appreciated. take care www.myspace.com/artschoolfactory www.artschoolfactory.com |

I've used the Sony CD-IT tapes on my 488mkii. I haven't had a problem with them. The Wal-Mart's in my area don't seem to be carrying the Maxell 60 minute tapes anymore. If you have a Coconuts Music in your area, they still stock the Maxell 60's.
