8 tracks out

Hi all,
I need a little help. I have a 488 porta-studio, and I'm in the process of transferring alot of old recordings to my computer. I can do 4 tracks at once by using the grp outs. however there is a bit of editing to get the first set of 4 to line up with the second set of 4. I'm almost certain that I read here how to transfer 8 tracks at the same time. I just can't seem to find the post. Can anyone help me out.
Thanks,
Bill

Arrow Hi,...

Yes, there is a way, and the writeup was specific to the 488mkII, so I'm not sure if the 488(std) would be capable of the same,... but I think so!!

Arrow I also saw there's an Insert cable that adapts Inserts to Direct-Outs.

You can find this inexpensive adapter cable at the online music equipment sites.

Hi,
A little update here. Right now I'm able to get six tracks out at once. 1&2 are coming out the effects send. 3,4,5 & 6 are using the grp outs. I can't get 7&8 yet, as I need to get some patch cords. Inputs 1&2 on my delta 1010lt sound card are xlr so I'll have to get the appropriate cables.
