Difference Between Tascam 22-2 and 32-2?

Hi Everyone,

Anyone know the difference between the Tascam 22-2 and 32-2 decks?

Both units seem to host the same basic specs:

1/4 tape at 7.5 or 15 ips
3 heads

Is one "pro" and the other "consumer?" Did they have different quality playback and record heads? Different motors?

Thanks,
Ben

The 22-2 is a smaller 3-head machine based on the smaller X-Series decks. It’s limited to 7” reels, but sounds really nice – I have two of them.

They are very similar in sound and share the same basic head design. Both machines can be tweaked beyond factory spec for better performance. They both produce pro results.

Ok, I have the 22-2. What exactly can be "tweaked beyond spec" and how do I do it!?
