Honestly, fam... You're question is so broad, it's hard to give you any advice.

What are you doing now, that doesn't seem to be working? What kind of mic do you have? Soundcard? What is your recording environment like?

Let me guess 50 is one of your inspirations???? You got some lyrics, but it seems like you ain't found your own identity. I'd like to hear what you sound like when you're not sounding like 50. You gotta be your own man, playa. This ain't no diss, just some real life criticism, home boi.

You might want to record your hook first so you can fly it through the whole song, then go back and record you verses.

The order of recording, verse or hooks, doesn't really matter. It won't make a difference in quality...

I'd suggest using what you have at your disposal to make things better. Get some sound treatment... If you can't afford to build a booth, hang up some blankets and put your mic in the corner by them... Kill that natural reverb in the room.

Use the Noise Reduction tool in Audition to kill that hiss on the vocals. Use some EQ to beef the vocals up a bit, and use reverb on the vocals in small amounts... It should be hardly noticeable on your verses... Hooks, it all depends on the style you're going for.

Wow, sounds like you're trying too hard to sound like 50 Cent. Don't take ANY offence but you need to get your own style. From what I heard you got an aight voice but need to utilize it better in creatin your own image. Good luck

Way I put produce a song:

1. Find something to write about sticking to a topic.
1a. Hear a tight beat and write to it.

2. Record beat to my DAW software.

3. Write all three verses around 18 bars each.

4. Write hook.

5. Record all three verses and back up dubs.

6. Record chrous.

7. Add voice effects and arrange beat tracks.

8. Mix the best sound I could get.

9. Take a 2 day break and mix again. Once I got the perfect sound. I master through T-Tracks.

10. Add to my songs folder.

11. Ready for vinyl.

12. Pray to get signed.

Yeah, you sound 50 Cent- not good, in my opinion.

Invent'cha own style. My favorite MCs are Pac & Nas but my stuff sounds nuthin like theirs (although that's probably 'cause they're so much better than me.)

I'm not gonna comment on your sound because that you didn't ask that! But dudes are right! (LOL) Just Playin!
But for me, laying down the hook and pasting it appropriately throughout the song makes it easier for me to work around a song. Recording everything dry helps too and save it as such. Then experiment, experiment, experiment, with effects and go for what you want.........

The "like 50" comments go without saying. It's ok to look up to someone who already doin' it big, but don't try so hard to emulate them that you come out sounding like them. Look at Lil' Zane and Crazy. Those mf's sound so much like Pac it's scary. Same goes for Guerilla Black. If Biggie wasn't dead, I could easily mistake that fool for him if I wasn't payin' enough attention. Get yo' own grind, don't sound like you got shot in ya grillpiece homie. I will say at least you're not reppin' the H by jumpin' on the chopped and screwed Swisha House bandwagon. Not that it's bad, but everybody and they momma around there are doin' that hopin to be the next Swisha.
