lately, when I have been recording multiple tracks, during playback, one or two tracks will slip out of sync with the rest. It has never done this before and it is driving me nuts with all the retakes!!

The first thing, when you record a track, is to right click on the track and select "Lock in time."
The other thing is to go to Options/Settings and tick the boxes that say something like "Correct for playback" and "Correct for start."
