Definitely great quality in the track. My only problem is with the verses. Hard Targets verse matches the quality of the track. Yours needs to be brightened up a bit. Sounds like you guys did the track with different mics. Maybe you did but you should probably EQ your verse to match Hard Targets. The hook sounds great like the hooks quality as well.

VERY NICE! Good track. Hot beat. Good versed. But, ya some of the vocals need to be more bright. But, that's just mixing. The tracks a winner! Add a little reverb on the hook at the end...

I agree with everything being said...that's a good track. Change brighten up the vocals just a bit to match HT's. I know you can make that shit bang homie. I got faith in you and the product I got from you has been good man.

As I said folks, this isn't mixed...lol..

HT recorded on a cheap condensor he paid $60 for... I have a much nicer mic, and all around nicer studio. Of course there are differences in quality. That will be fixed when I mix the track.

Truthfully, I wasn't going to bother mixing this unless it was going towards a project, which is why I put up that MP3 for you all. Now that it's been deemed worthy, I'll put in the time to mix it.

Nice production. What type of mic, preamp, compressor, mixer, soundcard, recording software do you use?

I want my stuff to sound like that.

I'm 100% PC based in my studio. No external gear other than my mic (MXL V63) which I bought for $300 over 3 years ago. Also, my monitors and Keyboard (midi control).

I have a custom built recording booth with sound treatment (padded walls and studio foam) and a ProSumer Recording Sound Card.

I Record with Adobe Audition, and I use DirectX and VST plugins for compression, effects, etc.. I have the Waves Platinum Plugins, and many free VST/DirectX plugins as well.

Overall, I've got about $8000 into my studio so far.

Thanks for checking the music out. Glad you enjoy it. Just know, it gets much better when it's mixed.

what can I say..track is hot..a def. fix for the album..i think you need to bring your chorus singin part up a little bit also..other then that..i think you both do have a hit on your hands..

ha, ha! this is nice! if this is mixed and mastered well, this has all of the ingredients to becoming a hit in my book. I have a song that didn't make the Red Oktober cd that's similar as for as harmonizing in the hook goes, i'll send it to you in an e-mail if you want to peep it out. I'm just impressed with this because it sounds like something that I would have bee really comfortable on.
