Hearing myself while tracking - monitoring

When I'm tracking in AA1.5, I can't hear what I'm playing. This really throws my singing off since I can't hear whether I'm on key or not. I have to wait until playback to see if i did well or not. Anybody know how to combat this?

Thanks,
Sean

There are ways of setting up your hardware so you can monitor while recording, but without knowing anything about your setup there's not much help anyone can offer.

One solution is to pan the playback to one side, and pull the headphone away from the other ear so you can hear yourself in the room.
