Some new songs to check out.

http://www.revrecstudio.com/sample_music.html

Okay, here are some songs that I just recorded over the weekend. Any input is welcome. I basically wrote, played, and recorded it all myself as demo's for my studio. The mixes on them are rough but close to what I want. There are some phasing issues with some guitar parts more so because of the EQ, I think, than anything. I have not put vocals on them yet because I am still writing them and getting up the nerve to actually sing them. Anyway, get out your critic pens and tell me what it needs either musically, mixing-wise, or both.

Thank you!

Hey THUNDER, great samples!! I am partial to #3, but I think 32 kicks!!

I like them all, just the way they sound, but since I am new at this, I don't always hear what the other guys do.

Hey Thunder33,

I have listened to Simple Solution twice now and that tone you have captured and the layering of the guitars is nothing short of awesome sounding to me!
It must be the week for killer tones because Dogman captured a beautiful acoustic soundscape on a tune he is working on called Electric Gumby this week.
I love the (Hammering on type riff playing) at 1:20.
The change at 2:30 is very fitting and just sits so well in the whole context of the tune!
The drums definitley need to be bought up in the mix, they are very distant, but they sound fine in the aspect of the tones of the snare and kick.

Overall Thunder awesome "Wall of Guitar" type guitars, they remind me of, but not quite as heavy as, of (Machine Head).

I could not quite hear the bass in there which may indicate to me that it was there but sitting nicely in the mix.

Nice Work!

Gorty

Simple Solution....Nice tone. It is a big sound. Cool riff. Very cool.

Love Of God....Drums seem to get through a bit better on this one. Another cool riff. Nice progresssion. I dig it.

Last Chances....Good clean tone to start with. Very nice. Nice build up. Break at 1:00 is very cool. Nice playing.

Good sounds dude. I like em...

Thank you! It seems unanimous that the drums need a little work. I was afraid of mixing them to hot so I guess I went too far the other way. I will remix and post next Monday. Thanks again!

Those are running direct. I usually do my own stuff at about 2-6am so I have no other choice.
